The BIG Art Affair team is made up of a rich blend of experienced creative personnel who have joined forces with the same BIG objective. To present an effective cultural event on a BIG scale offering longevity and reason.

 We want to build upon the appetite for the visual arts and provide an opportunity for the public to discover new and innovative contemporary modern, fine and urban art, whilst also enabling artists to exhibit their work in the best possible environment. 
But we also want to do more.  We want to offer our key stakeholders (public, artists and our sponsors and partners) something that is fresh, invigorating and inspiring. 
 By respecting the traditional template and heritage of what an art fair “should” be and combining it with a fresh perspective, where emerging and urban artists are given their own distinctive voice and able to exhibit alongside collectives and more established artists, we will provide an entirely new forum.  One that will offer everyone involved an experience that is engaging, inspiring and effective – whether they are looking to buy or sell or to learn or contribute.  We want the fair to leave all whom visit it with a lasting impression of the power of art to inspire and engage.
 Taking place in Dulwich (an area with superb travel links, no congestion charge and a thriving community) between the19th – 22nd May 2011, the fair has a founding ethos that sets us apart from our competitors:
 
i.      We want to provide new opportunities for artists to represent and sell their work themselves in their own name whilst providing a full support and advisory service to aid them in building their careers and businesses
ii.     We want to provide an important forum for education and learning to inspire the young and will work with local schools and art colleges to provide this
iii.     We will operate in a socially responsible way – working with local businesses and authorities as well as 3 charity partners that serve the community
 
Our innovative approach, married with an inspiring program of public participation events at the fair, a firm commitment to social responsibility and the local economy and our advisory service to artists places us in a unique position.  One that will provide unrivalled opportunity for all involved.
